A new range added to our Shop - Jomanda
”Softer than a soft thing”
We are delighted to introduce this range of beautiful ‘From Birth’ toys to County Mall.
To begin with we have chosen a selection of products which range from Baby Comfort Soothers and Cuddly Toy Bunnies to Cute Elephant Bags and Hand-muffs for Toddlers and Young Children up to larger fluffy Coo Toys and Unicorn Doorstops.
We are currently the only supplier of this range in Crawley and are hugely excited to bring them to County Mall. They are easy to spot, in their own Turquoise Display Stand, usually located next to our Floral Telephone Box.
The Baby Soother/Comforters are available in an Elephant or a Fox design, they consist of a tiny toy for baby to hold. The comforter is attached to the toy with a ring of fabric which can be attached to the babies wrist. The square comforter can then be rolled up when not in use and secured with the ring so the toy holds it itself. Such a cute design and idea. The Comforters and the Cuddly Bunnies also come with their own little Gift Bags too.
My favourite of all tho have to be the Fluffy Coo Toys and the first one we chose to bring to the Mall was the Rainbow Coo. Its brightness caught my eye when browsing the Show guide before we even arrived at the Spring Fair Trade Show and I just had to go and see it.
Although they are flat when they arrive a quick shake and fluff up and they look amazing and oh so cute 🥰
We are currently stocking the Animal Hand-muffs in a Sheep and a Brown Coo option. They are fastened around the back of the child’s waist with Velcro then the animal rests at the front and the child’s hands are placed inside.
We will top these toys up regularly and introduce more from their range as we go.
We hope you will love their uniqueness and softness as much as we do. They make perfect little gifts for babies and children and really live up to their hashtag #softerthanasoftthing

Our ’Telephone Box’ - Part 2
Now for the fun part, the decorating ………….
My vision was to have a floral backdrop with fairy lights appearing out of the flowers. The particular flower panels that we used for the back wall came from the Sofa Club shop (who used to be our nearest neighbours in County Mall) so we recycled them and cut them to fit. The panels have plastic grid squares on the back so we chose round festive line lights from Next that had clips on so we could attach them directly onto the grids. We started at the bottom attaching the panels to the back of the telephone box with velcro strips then clipping the lights in place, putting the bottom shelf in first then repeating for each level moving upwards. The remaining lights at the top are hanging from little hooks inside the roof of the telephone box and they add more light shining down onto the top shelf. Fortunately the telephone box had a four way extension lead fixed in the roof which fed down the back so the lights easily plugged into that and voila, we were illuminated.
We also upcycled velvet from old fabric swatch books kindly donated by DFS in County Mall. These were cut to fit and attached by Velcro to the shelves in different shades of pink, burgundy and silver to bring bursts of colour.
The exterior garland was also recycled and made from old flower headdresses and attached to some existing greenery with ribbon in two shades of pink attached to it at random. A light up string of battery rose lights from The Range were then wound around the garland to add more depth and this was attached to the top and down one side of the telephone box with tiny hooks and cable ties . The battery compartment was then attached by Velcro to the bottom of the telephone box.
Hooks were then added to the inside door to hang scarves, belts and bags then all that was needed was to fill her up with beautiful gifts to display.
At a later date we plan to make a wooden plinth with added wheels but certainly for the short term our new display remains on its perfectly sized trolley and is wheeled out in the morning then packed away easily at night. This also gives it more height. You would never know though as it is cleverly disguised during the day by a silver tablecloth and decorated with a white rose garland.
All in all we are totally smitten with the end result and it is exactly as I envisaged it to look. The only problem is I love it so much that I now want to take it home and put it in my kitchen. Maybe one day.

Our ‘Telephone Box’ Journey and Transformation - Part 1
For some time we had wanted to create a floral feature in our Pop Up space in County Mall which would show and enhance our gift display. Something that could be seen from the other end of Upper Mall and would provide a focal point for our customers to find us.
We knew that this needed to be something of a fairly large size and illuminated in some way to be visible and attract customers down to the quieter end of County Mall.
We toyed with the idea of a flower cart, a ladder shelf and a flower wall selfie seat (following the selfie seat that we created at the East Grinstead Wedding Fair last year). The most important requirement was that it was portable in nature and something that could easily be manoeuvred from our storage area every morning and back inside at night.
I had seen a few telephone booths being used in a variety ways in shops as selfie booths, to hang clothes and as a library space. We originally looked at getting one of the original telephone boxes which were available for a very small charge but these were extremely heavy and had to be located outside a premises that was owned by the buyer and I believe also had to remain red (but don’t quote me on that bit). We wanted something a little smaller, lighter and in a colour that blended well with our duck-egg and pastel themed shop.
After visiting a friend on New Years Day who had one in her home that she was using as a drinks cabinet I fell in love with it and we set about finding one for ourselves that we could ‘pimp’ to our requirements.
After googling and scouring online marketplaces we found the perfect one in a pale grey shade from a lovely lady in Surrey and set about going to collect it. Previously it was used to house her coffee machine and accessories so it had a totally different function in its former life.
We were able to remove the Allen-keyed top and believe it or not managed to fit it in a Skoda hatchback with its top alongside and managed to close the boot!!!
Then we had to negotiate how to transport it into County Mall.
Basically it came in the loading bay downstairs. We already had a wheeled trolley from when we moved into County Mall in January 2022 with all our boxes.
But the question was, would it fit?
Was it sturdy enough to take the weight?
In actual fact, we needn’t have worried, it was almost as if the trolley was made for it and it was a very smooth transition up in the goods lift albeit heavy to get it up the initial steps from the car to begin with.

In case you don’t know where to find us we are located in Upper Mall, right at the top of the escalator. As you travel up you will see our sign directly in front of you in the old Debenhams area, next to Primark.
Now here’s more about what we have to offer on our County Mall shelves. We have done our research and are confident that we have found the most unique, affordable, different and fashionable items which together, not only complement each other perfectly but also, cannot be found anywhere else in County Mall itself, in Crawley and, in some cases, not found anywhere else in Sussex either.
We are showcasing ranges from the following companies and here’s a little idea of the gorgeousness you can expect to find in our chosen range of suppliers providing Accents and Accessories for you and your home.
Strathurie
A beautiful range of amazing Tartan Handbags (70% wool) Crossbody Bags, Holdalls, Washbags, Trolley Cases, Backpacks, Purses and Ponchos at incredibly affordable prices from Strathurie, Renfrewshire, Scotland. These ultra smart fashion accessories come in a large variety of colours, sizes and styles. Perfect all year round but their cosy feel makes them a very popular choice for Autumn/Winter and they look fabulous when twinned with Jeans and Boots. These Tartan Bags have proved very popular in our County Mall Pop Up and have seen many customers returning for more.
Also from Supplier, Strathurie we stock several Leather and Non-Leather PU Handbags in a variety of colours and designs, the trending Camera-style Crossbody with patterned strap, genuine leather Crossbodys and Mobile Phone Bags in assorted colours, jewelled evening Clutch Bags, Bucket-style Handbags and handheld styles in the classic colours together with a selection of Purses, Oversized Pendants and large patent Fashion Handbags.
Jewel City
We have sourced a bright and colourful range from Jewel City. Their style is aimed at a younger clientele with more niche but ever-popular cute designs such as their beautiful non-leather embroidered range of Crossbody Bags featuring cute Rabbits, Bees and Daisies, Birds and Floral embroidered Backpacks, Crossbody Bags and matching Purses. They also provide stunning plain Backpacks in a range of beautiful colours, large floppy Tote Bags, wooden handle Totes, Cosmetic Bags and Pencil Cases too.
We also display a large collection of pretty Scarves from Jewel City in an array of colours and patterns featuring sparkle threads, pearls, fringes and different fabrics which are featured on our scarf wall in County Mall. For the cooler months we have teddy faux fur Scarves, chequered warm wrap Scarves and small non-leather Clutch bags.
On our County Mall Counter you will always find pieces of their stunning costume jewellery, Pearl Bracelets, quirky Bee Pendants, Animal and Seasonal Brooches and Jewelled Earrings.
Jewn
If it’s colour you want then look no further than the Luxury Leather range from Jewn. A local Company, their Crossbody Twist and Crossbody Stripe ranges are so soft to the touch and perfectly made in the most amazing range of bright colours.
Their funky two colour leather Glasses Cases come in a huge selection of colour combinations and their Lip Clutch/Cosmetic Bags are too cute for words and available in various two colour options.
We love to support other local businesses and their colourful stand caught our attention at the Harrogate Show in 2021. We were looking for a leather bag supplier with a difference and they fitted the bill perfectly and there are no other bags as bright and colourful in such an affordable leather range in County Mall.
Santoro
We love their Gorjuss range of cuteness aimed at girls and women alike with their stripey socked characters. We have lots of pocket money items in the different themes for youngsters to collect, Bookmarks, Notepads, Stationery Sets and little Handbags together with larger Backpacks, great for nursery or school going up to the larger Trolley Cases and Handbags. Their products have great attention to detail with intricate features, enamel zip pulls and large chunky zips perfect for little fingers. They make a pretty and coordinated addition to our table in County Mall.
You will also usually find a display stand on our counter with Santoro’s impressive, unique and famous range of 3D Swing Pop Up Greetings Cards for the current season, ie Christmas, Valentines, Birthday 🎉
Their products are usually stocked in London in the likes of Harrods and Fenwick’s and we are absolutely delighted to bring them to Crawley with us being the first stockist of this Wimbledon-based Company’s stock in Sussex. Their products stood out to us at the Harrogate Trade Show and it turns out they are located just a few miles down the road from where I grew up in South London.
Joe Davies Giftware
With every kind of giftware under the sun and by far the largest stand we visited, you can always expect a warm welcome from Joe Davies with a never-ending supply of sweets, beverages, bubbly and sandwiches to boot while you peruse their enormous selection and plan your purchases at the same time as filling your face.
Lots of our seasonal giftware comes from them so you will find seasonal Gonks, Tealight Holders, LED Lamps, Frames and Reed Diffusers, also lots of boxed gifts from Equilibrium such as Bamboo Socks, Wallets, Purses, Handbags, Gloves and Scarves.
Sass and Belle
Our very first Supplier which launched our HENRIETTA Accents and Accessories wholesale side arm in County Mall is Sass and Belle, Battersea. We loved their quirky coordinated ranges featuring characters such as Bees, Rainbows and the vibrant Frida Kahlo, in particular. We have their fun Body Vases and Boob Planters, Lunch Boxes, Backpacks and Insulated Lunch Bags. Also trending popular themed giftware and planters featuring Dogs, Leopard print and Camper Vans and their therapy mugs are also popular. Also not forgetting the beautiful Swedish Boho Cushions and Rugs, Wicker Storage Baskets and Pressed Flower Art to accessorise your home with.
Sienna Glass
This stunning mouth-blown glass makes each item unique and creates a very special occasion gift. We currently have Hearts, Baubles and the most stunning Starfish Paperweights, all beautifully gift-boxed. Each Heart and Bauble has satin ribbon attached and they can be hung on stands that we also provide. Perfect for a special Birthday or Anniversary celebration. These are very popular around Valentines Day and Christmas. Check them out in our County Mall Pop Up Shop.
Eton Watches
We chose these watches because they feature the most beautiful rose design which fit in perfectly with the rose theming of our business. These have proved to be very popular in County Mall. Some even have Rose-Patterned Straps and these come in two sized watch faces (these just happen to be my personal favourites too). Also we have white watch faces with delicate blue flowers in one corner or the more subtle Rose-embossed option in a selection of colours. Either way these are a very smart and pretty addition to our stock.
